The farcical story behind Diafra Sakho trying to force a move from West Ham to Rennes

The striker clearly wants to leave the Hammers but the club are not having any of it

Diafra Sakho is trying to force through a move to Rennes from West Ham but the club are refusing to do business as they believe they don't have enough time to find a replacement.

The story surrounding Sakho is nothing short of extraordinary, according to football.london sources, as the Senegalese man tries to plot an escape route from E20.

It all started on Saturday when Sakho wasn't included in the starting eleven for the Newcastle United defeat, being told he is behind both Michail Antonio and Andre Ayew in the pecking order for strikers at the club - two players who aren't striker.

Sakho, not for the first time in his Hammers career, took this badly and threw his toys out of the pram and set about getting out of east London having recovered from injury.

The frontman told the club he was going back to France and then tried to buy himself out his contract, according to our sources. This is something the striker couldn't afford to do.

Sakho travelled to France and set up a medical at Rennes of his own accord - which he subsequently passed - but there has never been a fee agreed with the Ligue 1 side and the Hammers.

Rennes had a bid of £4m up front plus £5m in add-ons flat out rejected by West Ham but Sakho carried on with the medical anyway but with co-owner David Sullivan's two sons - Jack and David Jnr - both tweeting to say no deal - it is now assumed any move is off the table.

football.london understands the lateness in the transfer window to find a suitable replacement is the reason the club won't sell. They are still interested in Lorient striker Abdul Majeed Waris, however.

I don’t think you can put the blame entirely on the owners, manager or club as Sakho is a bit of a special needs nutter by all accounts, but on the other hand after amongst others the Payet saga and then the Snodgrass comments you got to ask what the fuck is going on at West Ham.

Along with other issues we really need to get our house in order, as if it hasn’t already it will affect us on the pitch…………….

This thing about Ayew and Antonio is clearly nonsense. Sakho's behind the pecking order for them as wide forwards. As a striker he's behind Hernandez. That's why he was on the bench.

Seeing as we have hardly any wide forwards left anyway then if Ayew or Antonio had played as striker instead of Hernandez then Sakho would have had to play wide!

If any of this is true, it's a sad reflection on the club. Even if the player is being unprofessional. How did it come to this? It benefits nether party and there are two sides to the story here i'm sure.

A player with injury problems but who is arguably the striker with the best goal/appearance ratio wanting out so bad...One day, the book about all this will let the truth out about how the club is run.

If it is true that Bilic Has said that to him, then he has shot himself in the foot
As Sakho will not play for him again, you have told him that he is basically not wanted, come the next game Hernandez Gets injured, and we have no striker.

I think I would be bit pissed off if I was told I was behind Ayew in terms of playing. Sakho is a far better player and a West Ham are a different side with him in it. Only at fucking West Ham haha wow just wow

Er, all we know is that Sakho was on the bench on Saturday.

We don't know that he was being placed permanently behind Ayew and Antonio.

If a manager can't decide whether a player's sharp enough to be in his normal place in the pecking order, then we may as well be run by a players' committee, which is what some say happened in the last days of Ted Fenton.

As bonkers as this all is Bilic sounds like a proper spiteful cunt. Behind two players who are terrible up top when Sakho is actually when fit a really decent player and easily second choice behind Hernandez.

Very poor from Bilic once again. He's our problem.

SAKHOS problems all originate from mismanagement

He will do well under another manager as he is a good player

More fuck ups from Bilic

Yes sakho is a cunt up to this point...

"being told he is behind both Michail Antonio and Andre Ayew in the pecking orDer of strikera in the club"

You would have thought we would handle him a bit better than this given the falling out before, considering neither of the above are actually fucking strikers!

Oh you can see our front line now as soon as hernandez picks up a knock

If he signs for Palace, he scores on his debut, that's absolutely nailed on.

Precisely, OGS, It was bound to happen.

You only have to read this from last year to know he's got no desire to hang around. And McKay didn't get where he is today by not moving players on...

Makes sense, Mart - stories (mostly Fr twitter) that he's been punted to a few Ligue 1 outfits.

Mark McKay is his agent, GreenSt. Well, he certainly used to be. You could pretty much guarantee that as soon as he was fit enough, both agent and player would be agitating for a move.

Good fucking riddance. Couple of cunts.

Crystal Palace 'launch £10m Diafra Sakho bid'

Crystal Palace have reportedly made a £10m bid for West Ham United forward Diafra Sakho.

It is understood that Sakho is currently in France having undergone a medical with French outfit Rennes.

It was thought that the Senegal international was nearing a move to the Ligue 1 outfit, but according to Sky Sports News, Palace have stepped in at the final moment with an offer of £10m.

The 27-year-old scored 10 Premier League goals in 23 appearances for the Hammers during the 2014-15 season, but an injury-plagued couple of years has seen the forward appear in just six league matches since the start of last season.

Palace are seeking competition for Christian Benteke in the final third of the field.
